I came across this and my first thought was: Because they aren't getting married. But they live together. <- This is a somewhat "normal" thing now days. They like traveling. Or they live in different places throughout the year. Others want a set career before they start dating. Some are barely surviving on their own, so the thought of adding 2-4 (spouse/kids/pets) mouths to feed is just out of the question. Regardless, I think this is more like a low 'Marriage rate' more than a "Divorce rate" though.
